MEAT SAUCE:
1 lb Italian sausage
1 clove garlic minced
1 tablespoon whole basil
1 1/2 tsps salt
2 cups canned tomatoes
2 6-oz cans tomato paste
PASTA:
10 ounces lasagne noodles (8 pieces) cooked & drained
CHEESE FILLING:
3 cups cottage cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
2 tablespoons parsley flakes
2 eggs beaten
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 lb sliced mozzarella
Brown meat slowly; spoon off grease. Add other sauce ingredients & simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a greased 9x13" baking dish or pan, layer noodles, cheese, mozzarella & meat sauce. Repeat.
Bake for about 30 minutes at a 375 degrees.
Let stand for 10-15 minutes before cutting into squares to serve.
